D&D of Dreams

Welcome to your campaign!
A blog for your campaign

Wondering how to get started? Here are a few tips:

1. Invite your players

Invite them with either their email address or their Obsidian Portal username.

2. Edit your home page

Make a few changes to the home page and give people an idea of what your campaign is about. That will let people know you’re serious and not just playing with the system.

3. Choose a theme

If you want to set a specific mood for your campaign, we have several backgrounds to choose from. Accentuate it by creating a top banner image.

4. Create some NPCs

Characters form the core of every campaign, so take a few minutes to list out the major NPCs in your campaign.

A quick tip: The “+” icon in the top right of every section is how to add a new item, whether it’s a new character or adventure log post, or anything else.

5. Write your first Adventure Log post

The adventure log is where you list the sessions and adventures your party has been on, but for now, we suggest doing a very light “story so far” post. Just give a brief overview of what the party has done up to this point. After each future session, create a new post detailing that night’s adventures.

One final tip: Don’t stress about making your Obsidian Portal campaign look perfect. Instead, just make it work for you and your group. If everyone is having fun, then you’re using Obsidian Portal exactly as it was designed, even if your adventure log isn’t always up to date or your characters don’t all have portrait pictures.

That’s it! The rest is up to your and your players.

Kyou Kai's Diary (Days 1-3)
Humble Beginnings

As seen on Kyou Kai’s Diary:

Scribbled around the first page: “Rock seekers has some pretty good happy hours”

- Day 1: killed on round one by 4 Goblins. should aspire for better performance in the coming days. Still no closer to the adventures id hoped for.

- Day 2: Zarvir didn’t let me get on the wagon even after almost dying on my first fight. This new comrades are cold…
- Phandalin seems dull, drinks ain’t so good.

- Day 3: Woke up drunk. Was walking with the crew and didn’t know why.

- Met some goblins on the forest, they managed to once again ambush us and they hit a couple of my friends. Old fears come to mind as my body freezes remembering how hard i was hit 2 days ago.
Must remember training.
Made a real awesome ninja jump into a platform.. finally all that ninja training paid off… then a half dead goblin wacks me hard in the head, of course. Luckily i react on time and hit back with a Lucky Shot. Killed him.

Goblins: 1.
Kyou Kai: 1

- Met more goblins in a dark lair. Haven’t gotten a chance to flex muscles again, can’t wait.

another fight, another death

Day 4

- Another day, another awesome flip jump! jumped over black and blue dudes, the latter, which for some reason was prone, made it look almost choreographed. sweet.

- Wacked another goblin in the head, went down in one hit. Might be growing out of goblins being a problem. Strength in training.

- Had 2 arrows thrown at me, dodged like a boss. ninja shrug

- Saw a angry wolf, tried to smack him but missed, i blame the awkward positioning between stalagnites, need to pay better attention to my surroundings.

- Dodged a wolf’s bite. ninja yawn

- A Huge owlbear (?) attacked me with the might of a thousand suns, i would’ve sworn i was dead but i was Lucky and dodged!
Mental note: Avoid guys named Klarg.

- Hit the damn wolf, this time for good, saw it briefly limp while i decided to move away but big owlbear swinged and hit me hard, i survived though!

- Wolf took a bite at me after i stumbled from Klargs hit, i passed out.

- mental note: wolfs are assholes.

so i finally get over my goblin trauma and now a wolf kills me?
i am definitely not ready to pursue my revenge on my ex-clan. Need to learn how to cook wolf-stew first.

Kyou Kai's Diary (Day 5)
a slow day

Day 5

So apparently this guys forgot to revive me, now they all rolled down a chute, having fun killing wolves, and i’m left half dead.

Was bored, decided to drink a random vial in the most stylish ninja manner ever. Guys took care of pack of wolves. Hopefully we dine stew tonight ;)

Found a hidden stash of goblins… guys apparently wanted to negotiate something something, these guys all went in and killed everything before i could do much. well, not true, i got to miss numerous times to a goblin, finally punching him to death. barely.

I feel this last few days have been very productive overall to my internal growth. I can finally feel some of the ki as my masters taught me, hopefully i’ll learn to manage it in productive ways. Also, I’ve realized i can move a bit faster now, if unhindered, as i saw the expert assassins move… interesting.

We’ll need to experiment more
